Learn on-line with our free course, featuring interactive lessons and simple games and tests to support and measure your progress. The course includes an introduction to the Cyrillic alphabet with pronunciation examples, everyday vocabulary and conversational expressions and phrases.

This site uses Java. Please ensure you have Java 1.5 or later installed and enabled to use the interactive modules. Follow the link on the right if you need to install this. 

The course modules are broken down under three topics, each building upon your knowledge gained from the previous. Click on the topic menus below to see the full list of available modules.

The lessons for vocabulary and phrases are each accompanied by test modules.  You can can easily track your progress as each of these tests records your best score.  We think you will be pleasantly suprised to see how quickly and confidently your learning progresses!

The lessons and tests are all created with Java.  If these modules don't work for you then please ensure you have a recent version of Java installed and enabled.  Not sure if you have this?  Follow the link to quickly install the latest version.

The Russian Alphabet Tutor is a small downloadable program to help teach you the basics of the Cyrillic alphabet.  It includes example pronunciation and a couple of fun word games to make your learning even more enjoyable.

This program is in addition to the on-line alphabet module and compliments the course material.
